Where do I start? I was passing through Montrose on my way south. I pulled out of a parking lot in Montrose and heard a grinding sound briefly on a sharp turn. Figured it was a rock or snow. Drove 28 miles south to ridgeway and the grinding got much worse. Pulled over in ridgeway, jacked the car up and found a wheel bearing that was going to go at any moment. It was 5:24 pm on a Friday afternoon. Called three shops. 2 answered. One essentially laughed at me for asking for weekend help. I live three hours away and was an hour away from where I was going to spend the night. The third shop I called was Mohr automotive. Though they were in Montrose I figured I would give them a shot. Henry answered and though they closed in 5 minutes he was supportive and said to have it towed there after hours and he had a guy that would look at on Saturday morning. They called the next day, confirmed the wheel bearing issue, and then fixed the problem even though they had more pressing, more expensive work to get through. On Sunday, I was on my way back through Montrose and my car was ready to go, as if nothing ever happened. Oh and they did a complementary 65 pt inspection and tipped me off on a couple other things the truck needed. Safe to say, if I am ever on the western slope again I am coming back here, even if it is out of the way. Henry than texted me 4 days later to check in on their work and make sure I was satisfied.
